Ticket chaos ahead of the semi-finals – fans to the hospital

Chaos in the tickets before the match between Morocco and France

There is great interest in the historic Moroccan World Cup semi-finals.

So big that there was a mess of tickets outside the match arena.

According to The Athletic, several fans collapsed and were taken to hospital.

– There is no control, Moayad Khalil Fathi tells Reuters.

When Morocco defeated Portugal in the quarter-finals, it became the first African country to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup. Tomorrow, the Moroccans will face world champions France – and the interest is high, to say the least.

Several media outlets, including The Athletic, reported ticket chaos outside the match’s arena, Al Janoub Stadium. The site writes that many of the supporters in the queue collapsed, and several had to be taken to hospital. Additionally, The Athletic states that a fight arose in connection with the summoning of security personnel.

“miserable day”

– It’s a miserable day. We suffer a lot. There is no organization. They let people run from place to place all night long. There is no control. “People are running in front of you and over you,” Moroccan supporter Khalil Fathi told Reuters.

Morocco had a large fan base in Qatar during the previous World Cup matches. Al Janoub Stadium can accommodate about 44,000 spectators.

The semi-final match between Morocco and France will be held on Wednesday at 20:00.
