He started the day as an extra teacher at Kalix – and finished it as an allsvenskan hockey player in Stockholm.
Christopher Bjork had a few hectic hours to say the least before making his debut with AIK.
– I had to meet with the manager, the 23-year-old tells Sportbladet.
Several centers have been infected in AIK, in addition to the disappearance of Dalibor Dvorsky in the JVM. Then the club acted and sent a signal to Kalix HC in the hockey team. 23-year-old Christopher Björk will join the squad.
I had to run to the manager
For Christopher himself, this made for a busy day. He got the news early Wednesday morning — just hours before the game. There he then found himself at his job at the school.
– It was just a matter of going to the manager and announcing that I was going to the big city. I get that this is how the hockey industry works. They had to find an alternative, he says with a laugh.

I took the subway to the game
Björk jumped into the car, and drove straight to Lulea Airport and Kalax. The journey took him to Stockholm and there he had to take equipment on the underground to get to Hovet.
– It was very narrow and as I understood, there was little traffic with all the snow, but I made it through in time.
At 17:30 he arrived at the dressing room, only an hour and a half before he was to be taken off.
– It was just a mother of the boys and a little warm-up, so everything went very quickly. You should take advantage of the situation when it comes, Bjork says with a smile.
Post-match confusion: “I don’t know”
Everything worked fine. Christopher made his hockey debut in Allsvenskan and was recorded with six minutes and 20 seconds of ice time.
– It was really fun. I have been seeking this opportunity. I enjoyed it, he says.
After the match came the next challenge. Where will Christopher Bjork live? He himself has no idea.
– It’s a bit unclear. I know the athletic director is going to take me somewhere, and we’ll see where, he says with a laugh.
Björk will pass a few days in the capital. It has been decided that the 23-year-old will remain on loan for at least five matches. He himself hoped it would be longer.
– My goal is to get an Allsvenskan contract, to stay here and prove that I can do it at this level, he says.

And head coach Anton Blomqvist didn’t have much clue as to who arrived in the dressing room shortly before the relegation.
Seriously, I’ve seen very little of it. I’ve seen it on video at some point. We went further into the references and what we heard. He must be a good and skillful player. I think it does it just fine, it’s a bit choppy of course. He says: We have to provide him with conditions.
