Stabbed Peter Anderson of the Junior Children’s Tournament – after threats to the player

The Ice Hockey Association folded – leaving the coach at home

Goalkeeping coach Peter Anderson was supposed to be part of the leadership team during the Junior World Cup – but was told just a few weeks ago that he couldn’t go any further.

According to several independent sources, one outfield player refused to be part of the JVM if Anderson was the goalkeeping coach.

Something the Ice Hockey Association has approved of.

It is a very special event that has now surfaced a few days before the JVM premiere. Peter “Trötter” Andersson, 58, has been a goalkeeper coach for the Swedish Ice Hockey Federation since 2011.

During this time he has made all the junior national teams from the U-16s up to the junior crowns.

On weekdays, he is a goalkeeper coach in Frölunda’s junior team.

In August, Anderson was with Tegan Jr. at the postponed JVM Championships, and the idea was also that he would now be there in Halifax. According to Sportbladet’s information, he had lent a car and an apartment at the house in Gothenburg, and the idea was also for his wife to go with him to Canada.

Now that wouldn’t be the case and the reason is controversial to say the least.

Several independent sources tell us that one player on the team did not want Anderson to join. According to the information, the reason must be some kind of conflict between the two later on.

Peter Anderson: Unfortunately there is no JVM

The player is also said to have given the ultimatum that the Ice Hockey Association had to choose between him and Peter Anderson.
The Ice Hockey League must have selected the player and recently informed Anderson that he was not allowed to participate.

Peter Anderson does not want to talk to Sportbladet, but he writes in a text message:

– Unfortunately no JVM for me this time. All questions regarding national team selections can be brought to Anders Lundberg at the Swedish Ice Hockey Association.

Just a few weeks ago, the Ice Hockey League turned to Djurgården and asked if they could borrow goalkeeping coach Frederic Mikko, something Djurgården said no to because they play intensely during the JVM.

Instead, the question went to Mikael Gerdin, the club’s J20 coach on the goalkeeping side who had never worked with the national team before.

Ice Hockey Association: No comments

National team manager Anders Lundberg takes on all the questions about why Peter Anderson is not at Halifax:

Mickey Jerdine is in Halifax.

Yeah, but the plan was for Peter Anderson to be there, right?

– I have no comment other than that Mickey Gerdin is the one over there.

According to our information, there must have been a request from one of the players not to let Peter move on.

– I have absolutely no comments on that. I’m very happy with the leadership team that’s there. We are fully focused on giving them all the support to make the best possible JVM.

Is this sensitive, was it an idea that Peter would agree?

– I have no comments, says Anders Lundberg.

Sportbladet researched the player, who chose not to comment.
