Magnus Nygren is ready for Färjestad.

The big star joins the champion team after this season.

“The door has always been open to Färjestad,” Nygren tells the club’s website.

Magnus Nygren, 32, has played for Davos since leaving Färjestad after the 2016/17 season.

Soon he is now back at the club where he appeared as a junior.

– I think the door is always open to Färjestad, but I was also clear that I feel comfortable in Davos. I feel they have a lot of faith in me here and I have the chance to play in a good team. Getting the chance to return to my hometown and parent club has always been at the back of my mind,” says Magnus Nygren in a press release.

You want to win gold with Färjestad

Nygren was previously the team captain at Färjestad and wants to win SM gold with the club again.

– I am grateful to Rijkaard (Wallen, Sports Director) and the rest of the gang who have taken a genuine interest in me and, as I said, the interest is mutual. He says I feel like I have a lot to offer, and I also want to stand in that square again.

Rijkard Wallen also tells us what he thinks about signing his star.

– I think Magnus has grown, as a player and as a person, during his years at Davos. It’s pretty clear that we’re going to bring home the same cutting-edge experience he had when he left, and we think Magnus has a lot to offer, both on the ice and as a captain on the team.
