Canada crushes Germany – Connor Bedard scored seven points

The hype surrounding Canada’s Conor Bedard, 17, is understandable.

The super talent scored seven points (!) against Germany thus tying the JVM record for the nation.

It’s pretty insane what he managed to do, says team captain Shane Wright, according to CBC.

Canada responded immediately to the opening shock against the Czech Republic. The host country was totally trampled by Germany, the same team they defeated Sweden 1-0, and won 11-2.

17-year-old Conor Bedard had a big part in this crush. The super talent formed a veritable hat-trick as he scored Canada’s third, fourth and fifth goals. In addition to his three goals, there were also four assists.

“I had a little flow”

Seven points from Bedard tied the Canadian JVM record for most points in a single game, according to CBC.

– It is a nice. But the important thing is to win. I had a little flush too, it was like this evening, he says.

Chasing another record

Despite the fact that Bédard is only 17 years old, he has already managed to score 12 goals in the course of the JVM. That’s just two numbers shy of the Canadian record held by NHL star Jordan Eberle.

And the Seattle Kraken striker will be reminded of this by his teammate.

– I’ll text him and tell him he’s got a man on his heels, says Team Canada captain Shane Wright.

Conor Bedard is expected to start in this summer’s NHL draft.
