Leksand never lost in the SHL regular season against Oskarshamn. Seven wins since Oscarshamn reached the beautiful hall in 2019 is the result. But things went better in the playoffs. Oskarshamn won the round of 16 in Tejera ten months ago.
Things did not start well, if you watched the match with Oskarshamnsojon. Leksands defender Olle Alsing scored it 1-0 after just 60 seconds of play.

Oskarshamn had mostly sporadic attacks and then of course it was the team’s first series with Patrick Karlqvist, Ante Sumela and Ahti Oksanen responsible for the quality in the attacking area. In the third period, Leksand’s defense struggled with the puck and Patrick Karlqvist had a good goal-scoring opportunity. And then things go as they are. 1-2 was fact. Karlqvist’s 16th goal and the 46th goal of the 46th Super Series this season.
With seven minutes remaining, Karlqvist punctuated the action and made sure to break Oscarshamn’s grim streak. Another error in his own goal area by Leksand freed King of Goal and put the puck under control between Mantas Armalis’ legs.
