Joel Asuru latched on to a poor header and scored Sweden’s second goal as Blue Gold beat Finland in the first match of the January tour.
Usuru’s goal in the last minute of extra time meant the final score was 2-0.
It was nice to score a goal. I saw the goalkeeper come out and I thought ‘I’ll step up, I hope he doesn’t kick me’. But it didn’t work!
Going to talk to Kulusevsky
Joel Asuro was substituted in the dying minutes, but even though he was only about ten minutes on the field, the match and goal will be discussed with Dejan Kulusevski.
– He’ll call tonight and then we’ll go off for a bit, Asuru says.
The match is Joel Asuro’s debut in the national team and he would like to play in the “real” Blagault with his best friend.
– If I’m going to play with him, I must do something well, Asuru says.

– Lol no. I think he wants me to come up and play together. But I must continue.
