This happened to Peter Gerhardson at a press conference with Blagault on Tuesday. It was not entirely successful, as no formal agreement had yet been reached.
The next day, 22-year-old Nystrom met the press at the national team’s hotel on the Algarve coast.
How did you react?
– I didn’t react much, but … Of course there was, maybe it wasn’t planned. And this is not entirely true either. But it happens and everyone is human.
So this is not true?
I haven’t signed a contract yet.
‘Everton is a nice club’
Then you end up in a private situation, right?
– I don’t know. I play football here as usual and everything is going as planned here.
Are negotiations underway?
Everton is a nice club, but I’m not responsible for that. And my agent does.
Gerhardson apologized
What did Peter say after his mistake?
– He obviously apologized. It didn’t work out as it should. But I’m not angry with him in any way. It’s not strange. But yeah..it’s an extraordinary event.
You still don’t have a club after leaving Eskilstuna, you had a good season with lots of goals. what are you looking for?
– I want to end up in an environment where I can continue to develop. Where I am challenged every training session and face good opposition. It takes a while to find the right thing, because I want it to be just right for a new club.
Are you primarily aiming abroad or can you fancy staying in Allsvenskan?
– Outside is very exciting, it’s a challenge. But there are definitely advantages to staying at home in Sweden. This is what I appreciate now.
