Since coming to Leksand, he has been one of the club’s biggest stars.
But the future is now uncertain for Carter Camper, 34, and he admits he thinks a lot about what happens next season.
– I’d be lying if I didn’t answer yes to that, says Leksandsforwarden.

Frustrating, we had chances and played hard, but we’re struggling to score at the moment. We miss some players and try to find different ways to play and make our game plan,” says a frustrated Carter Camper.
He came to Dalarna in the summer of 2020 and instantly clicked between the Canadian right wing and Lexand.

But the future is uncertain. Sportbladet was able to tell her a while ago that Camper had not received a new contract offer. He admits that uncertainty about the future has affected him:
The doors never close
– It’s frustrating and hard. I have been here for three years, I have three children and they have grown up here. I try to figure out what’s best, not only for me and my business, but also for my family.
Do you have many ideas about your future?
– I’d be lying if I didn’t answer yes to that. That’s the life we live, I did it for nine years in North America but it’s different because nothing can be signed until July. Here it is a little different. I haven’t had to think about it for 2.5 years, but now (changing clubs) might be an option. I’m trying to figure out what works best for the whole family.
Is Lexand’s door closed?
– I do not close any doors, all doors are open to me. There are many things that come into play: family, team location, finances, contract length.
Did Lexand lock someone out there for you?
– No, in this case it is news to me. We’ve talked and I understand the situation they’re in,” says Carter Camper. They have some decisions to make.
