Magnus Persson, 46, goes on a taxing spree.
The Allsvenskan golden coach is now a part-owner of Spanish Vélez and is being evaluated after buying the club, writes Nyhetsbyrån Siren.
After coaching several Allsvenskan clubs, where SM gold stands out with Malmö FF 2017, Magnus Pehrsson left Sweden for Spain in 2020.
Pearson is today the Vice President and Co-Owner of the football club Velez CF – which today plays in the Spanish third division.
Sirin news agency writes that the tax agency is now taxing him on unreported payments of SEK430,000 after buying a top-tier club.
Unreported rental income
The news agency reported yesterday that Pearson Radar partner Jesper Norberg received a tax levy on similar grounds after the Spanish joint investment.
At the same time, Pehrsson was assessed an additional SEK 120,000 for unreported rental income from a vacation home on the Spanish south coast.
In total, this is a retroactive income increase for Pehrsson of SEK 550,000. In addition, a full tax supplement is added based on the assessed increases in the taxable income of the 46-year-old.
He owns shares in the owning company
What the IRS is doing is that two payments in 2020 from the company that owns Malaga FC are not reported.
Magnus Pehrsson himself believes that it is about loans that have already been repaid according to agreed promissory notes. However, Swedish Tax Agency investigators point out that he himself held shares in the owning company and that the promissory notes in practice constitute a kind of fictitious agreement, to disguise a genuine business relationship.
Sportbladet has applied for Magnus Pehrsson and Jesper Norberg.
