Sweden is ready for the final in the JVM.
Astrid Lindberg was the match winner in the dramatic 2-1 victory over the United States.

At the last U-18 World Cup, Sweden finished fourth after losing the bronze medal match against Finland.
Now they will play for the noblest sects.
Sweden is ready for the final after 2-1 against the favored USA team in front of an almost full arena in Östersund.
Never miss the final
It was a real thrill with the USA, who never missed a tournament final, and took the lead in the first half.
Then Sweden turned things around in the second half after two quick goals scored by Mira Jongocker and Astrid Lindberg.
– very nice. We play very well, play as a team and fight for each other,” says Lindeberg at SVT.
Great drama
In the third period, the United States was just centimeters away from tying the score. Indeed, the referee indicated a goal, but after a video review, the referees decided that Cassandra Hall’s shot hit the crossbar.
The Americans didn’t get any closer, though the final minutes were exciting. After the final whistle, there was a huge cheer.

Sweden have played the final in the U-18 World Cup once before, against the USA in 2018. That time it was Sweden’s silver.
Canada and Finland meet in the other semi-final match at 8pm tonight.
