Anil Ahmadudzic on hate when he changed Sweden to Bosnia

Success looms on the pitch and in the Premier League.

But there will be no match in the blue and yellow for Anil Ahmadudzic, 23, who has chosen Bosnia.

– I know I probably would have started if I had chosen to play for Sweden, he told Viaplay.

During 2020 and 2021, Ahmet Chodzic was one of the most talked about Swedish and Svenskan footballers.

The centre-back won two SM golds with Malmö FF, played in the Champions League – and changed national teams, from January’s tour with Sweden in 2020 to European Championship qualifiers with Bosnia that same autumn.

“He knows only ugly words.”

– I received some hate mail. I just laughed at them, I think that kind of thing is kinda funny. I’m annoying and I don’t care if people write ugly words to me. They can write as much as they want. I grew up in Rosengård. The only thing I know is ugly words, says Ahmet Hudzic in an interview with Viaplay.

In the Swedish national team, the center back crisis was great from time to time. Had the 23-year-old chosen to continue representing Blågult, the chances of him playing from the start would have been great, he believes.

I know I would probably have started if I had chosen to play for Sweden. But I made up my mind. I love that I made this choice. I like to play in Bosnia. The feeling that you are playing there is indescribable.

The team is in second place and the 23-year-old defender has managed to score four goals and assist two goals in 21 matches.

– Even the second place in the championship goes straight up, but I want the title. I think we have the qualities to be a mid-table team in the Premier League for the first few years, and then we’ll be fighting for the European spots. But there is a long way to go until then, Ahmet Khodzic says, laughing.
