As an outsider, it’s hard to understand why. In December, Fotbollskanalen reported that Naher Basara had rejected a contract offer. Since then, both the player and the club have stated in several contexts that the negotiations are going well and that Bisara, whose contract expires in 2023, will soon sign a new one.
– We really want to expand there. I am very optimistic about Naher as a player and person. I didn’t know him before he came here, but there we feel like we have a leader,” Jesper Jansson told Sportbladet just over a week ago.

But after Hammarby’s victory (4-3) against Sandviken, it seemed clear that the negotiations had stopped. Sportbladet has learned that Hammarby has made a bid that the player is taking a stand now, but if you listen to Besara it appears that the parties are still far apart.
Isn’t it official that you extended yet?
– No nothing.

– We obviously don’t get along, says Psara.

– Yes, otherwise it would have ended by now. But unfortunately…we don’t get along now. We’ll see where it lands.
Jesper Jansson has been clear in interviews that he really wants to extend it with you?
– Yes I think so. But yeah, unfortunately we haven’t reached the goal yet.

Do fans worry when you say that?
– But that’s the truth. If we were on target, I would have already signed the contract. But I think Hammarby wants me here and I want to be here. But we’ll see how we land.

“As I said, he has a contract until 2023, but from my side it would be good to implement it.”
