Färjestad lost the summit encounter with Skellefteå by 1-2.
In addition, center Remy Elle had to leave the game with an injury.
Färjestad’s Victor Edsel beat Skellefteå goalkeeper with a penalty. The goal tied it at 1-1 midway through the first half, but it wasn’t enough for any points.
Instead, Philip Sandberg decided for Skellefteå when he scored a straightforward 2-1 power play in the third period.

New injury for Farjestad
Färjestad suffered severe injuries during the season and in the second period they suffered another setback when midfielder Remy Elie had to retire.
Eli unfortunately fell onto the ice after tackling Oscar Müller. He smiled evilly and crawled into the booth before leaving for the locker room, without supporting himself on his left leg.

It was Skelleftea’s third consecutive victory against Vrjestad this season. They are second in the table, six points behind Färjestad.
