Brynäs punished Skellefteå
Brynäs creates more distance to the qualifying line.
After a big win against league leaders Skellefteå.
Brynäs took a big win in Malmö last Saturday and created an eight-point margin all the way to the qualifying line.
The margin increased after tonight’s win over Skellefteå.
Brynäs managed to win 3-2 after a penalty shootout after reversing a 1-2 deficit, while HV71 and Malmö both lost. Now ten points separate the HV71.
In a fast-paced and fast-paced first half, it was Skellefteå who scored the only goal. Rijkaard Hogg’s shot, the ball appearing to hit the stick of Samuel Johansson, crept past Anders Lindbäck.

Hugg was reasonably satisfied for the first 20 minutes:
– fairly even period, fairly high speed. We make it a little stressful on our outings, and we have to do better there.
Lindbäck saved a penalty
However, Brynäs managed to equalize right midway through the period.
Oscar Nelson was sent off and just 11 seconds later Greg Scott scored to make it 1-1.
It was the aforementioned Oscar Nilsson who gave Skellefteå the lead again when he volleyed in Anders Lindbäck’s left cross. Skellefteå had a chance to increase the score to 3-1, but Anders Lindbäck saved Rikard Hogg’s penalty.
It was 2-1 going into the third period, but with five minutes remaining in the first period, Jacob Blomqvist managed to tie the score.
