Boston defeated Toronto after Linus Ollmark’s big play

Linus Ollmark prepared in the best way before the weekend. With 33 saves, he and Boston stopped Toronto’s NHL ice hockey team.

Only Mitchell Marner and Callie Jarnkrock managed to get the better of Boston’s Swedish guard. With a save percentage of 94.3, the Modo-learned 29-year-old defended another solid effort, and was named man of the match.

Ilja Samsonov in the Toronto goal was not so successful. Of his 29 shots, he stopped only 24. The last two goals were scored by Boston’s Pavel Zacha.

Thus the final score was written 5-2 to Boston.

A few weeks ago, Allmark got word that he’d been named to one of the All-Star teams playing this weekend while the rest of the league takes a week off.

– It’s a bit surreal. I remember as a kid it was one of the few things we actually signed up to see guys like Peter Forsberg, Niklas Lidstrom, Joe Sakic and such when they played in the All Star Games. They were always fun to watch, Allmark told The Boston Globe.

In the second game of the night, Carolina earned its seventh straight victory by defeating Buffalo. Sebastien Ahu scored the first goal, thus finding the net in six consecutive matches.

The game finished 5-1, and Buffalo’s Taige Thompson left the ice after the second period with an upper body injury.

Boston’s Linus Allmark put an end to most of it as Toronto was beaten on the road.
