This past week has been excellent weather along the southern Spanish coast. Like early Swedish summer, the sun is 16-17 degrees.
However, during Monday evening it started to rain in the areas around the Malaga-Marbella coastal stretch.

According to the Spanish equivalent of SMHI, from 55 and above 100 mm of rain fell in the area locally and rain and wind warnings were issued.
The Masters meeting has been cancelled
Both men’s and women’s teams matches in Häcken were canceled due to rain-affected plans and this meant that the championship meeting between Molde and Häcken did not take place.
The Hammarby men’s training ground at Dama de la Noche in Marbella was underwater and one of the roads there was closed due to water masses.
The men of the fence were allowed to train on one of the side pitches at the Marbella Football Centre.
Hammarby divided the team into two groups that replaced each other in an intense sports session.
Malmö FF managed a regular football training session when their stadium in Estepona, 30 kilometers southwest of Marbella, survived the worst of the rain.
Spanish meteorologists promised continued torrential rains through Wednesday, a slight decrease in intensity on Thursday and more sporadic rain interspersed with chances of sunshine, Friday.
He does not have time to dry
For Hammarby and Hacken, it is likely to mean continued training and match problems.
– Blueprints work if there is a break and allowed to dry. But when it is raining, the water does not escape and then the plans are ruined if you are practicing or playing matches. There are new clubs and national teams coming in all the time and then they have to be able to use the stadiums, the groundskeeper tells Sportbladet.
Over the course of Tuesday evening, there was intense pursuit of Hammarby and Häckenhåll to solve training and match problems for the days ahead.
The clubs will play their matches in Spain before the premiere of the competition season in the Swedish Cup soon.
– The first option is to practice on the field we were on today at the Marbella Football Centre, otherwise the horse polo fields in Sotogrande are an alternative. But we certainly won’t be informed until tomorrow (Wednesday) when they can judge after the night’s rains, says Häcken’s Communications Director Malin Fahlén.
Hammarby predicts that Wednesday will also include a gym workout.
Gym training instead of bagen
Body trainer Berry Wild says:
– Of course we hope to play football, but there’s not much we can do about it. We’re trying to make the best out of the situation and we’re looking at a couple of different options, maybe at another facility or if we should be in the gym more.
According to the plan, Hammarby will face MLS team Dallas on Thursday and Norwegian Stabaek on Saturday, before the trip back to Sweden.
Malmö FF will play two matches on Friday, against Vålerenga and AGF respectively, one of which will be in a flooded facility on Tuesday.
Häcken brings pairs back before the cup match by taking on AGF also on Friday.
