Only Manchester United managed to equalize with Leeds in the Premier League

Manchester United defended a strong home encounter against Leeds.

The hero was substitute Jadon Sancho – who made his diving dream come true when he scored for the first time in the league since September.

The match ended 2–2.

Jadon Sancho has not played a Premier League match since October 22 due to injury.

But on the pitch for Leeds, the 22-year-old stepped in – and instantly saved the home crowd with an equalizing goal to make it 2-2 in the 70th minute.

Before that, it had looked dark for league third-placed Manchester United – who were shocked twice in the opening half-time.

It was the match with just a minute to go when Wilfried Genonto silenced the crowd at Old Trafford for the first time, after volleying a graceful strike against the post to make it 1-0 for the visitors.

In the 48th minute, it was time again, as Gnonto and Summerville played their way past United’s stagnant defense on the left, before Raphael Varane was able to slot Summerville’s cross into his own net to make it 2-0 to the visitors.

First goal since September

Then there were many indications that the guests would get the three points. But after notorious goalscorer Marcus Rashford headed in to reduce the score to 1-2 in the 62nd minute, the home fans rekindled hope.

And just eight minutes later, it was time again – when Sancho stepped forward and scored his first goal since September (!).

Then the hosts pressed for the winning goal, but Leeds managed to hold on 2-2 and share the points.

Victor Nelson Lindelof had to come on with about ten minutes left in the game.
