With a starting position on the left but moving wide in a 4-3-3 formation, Hammarby’s summer signing Saidou Alioum made a big impression against Dallas.
The 19-year-old Cameroonian had a huge role in the attacking game for Bagen, with two shots coming close in the second half and showing he would seriously compete for a place in the starting eleven in the future.

It was a good match for me. “Sometimes it’s hard for me to keep up tactically,” Elayoum told Sportbladet after losing 0-1, but it worked out well for me.
Are you upset that you didn’t score in your chances?
– no. I’m not upset. That was a good ending on my part. I will score in the next match instead.
Is your development curve rising?
– Yes I think so. I am improving every day during training. I am very happy with my role at Hammarby. It’s a good club, good organization, big crowd.
Are you a player in the starting line-up of Hammarby XI?
– Yes, I think so (laughs). I put in a good effort on the field and I think the coach likes me. I want to continue this way in training and during matches.
Marty Cifuentes sure liked what he saw from Alayoum and two other young Hammarby players.

It was a positive test overall and it was good to see the players individually too, says the Hammarby coach.
What do you think of the match Alioum?
– It was very good. It is very extreme. I have the same feelings about “Montender”. They are two very different wingers. It’s extreme when it’s really good, but matches have more moments than just these.
We try to help them develop because they have these extreme traits in certain situations. I am very satisfied with the match of Alium. I’m happy with Deniz Gül, who played in a position he was not used to. Ludde Svanberg looked like an experienced 35-year-old. He was calm with the ball. Alper (Demirol) was developed.
—But when allium gets on those surfaces, it does very well, Cifuentes says.
Hammarby is leaking back
The 19-year-old was signed for Hammarby this summer, and he made five caps for the Cameroon U-17 national team and scored five goals in eleven appearances for Hammarby TFF in League One North during the autumn.
Is he a player in the two-game eleven and the big ship?
– That’s a good question. We don’t know yet. The positive thing is that we can pick many talented players and there is no pressure.
Meanwhile, the 0–1 loss meant Hammarby had not kept a clean sheet in any of their five pre-season matches with 13 goals conceded to just four after four training matches a year earlier.
Not a clean sheet yet. How frustrated is that?
– It’s bad training! Cifuentes says with a wry smile.
The matches differ from each other, but last year the team was established. There wasn’t a lot of player turnover. But hopefully it will get better, we need it.
