Hanna Marklund left TV4 – ready for SVT

Hannah Marklund left TV4 after ten years.

She is now ready as an expert for SVT.

– He can obviously be sensitive, she told Sportbladet.

Changes to the scope of rights were the reason expert Hanna Marklund and TV4/C More decided to go their separate ways – after ten years.

– For the past year, I have felt that in terms of rights, there is absolutely nothing in the channel on the part of women. If there are both, great fun, but not if there is only one. So I didn’t want to stretch myself, I wanted to do something else, I told Sportbladet in mid-January.

A month later, the future became clear. Marklund is moving to SVT, where she will act as an expert starting with Thursday’s international match between Sweden and China.

What attracts the most is equal reporting between women and men. I’m looking forward to the internationals before the World Cup, she told Sportbladet, and it will be fun to work with, focusing on the women’s side.

“Broadcast tournament is great”

How do you feel when you go to the competitor?

– Obviously, she can be sensitive. I had a really good fourth year, but it’s more about what kind of rights there are and what you have to work with. It’s crucial and it’s changed during my time at TV4 and C More.

Right when the question came from SVT, it felt right – on several levels.

– You attracted me to what I’m going to do. It was like everything was perfect, just the way I wanted it to be. We got on really well right away when we talked about assignments.

This summer’s toilet in Australia/New Zealand was a huge reason for the move.

– Being there and broadcasting tournaments is a great pleasure, it is impossible to stay away from it. There will be a different pulse. Then I look forward to watching the Women’s All-Svenskan and World Championships, as there is a lot going on before the World Cup.

future training plans

Do you have any requests for training assignments?

– No, not more than I have at home in Skellefteå. Obviously, such tracks are always interesting. Now it’s more through youth football, which is a lot of fun, as I’m coaching two youth teams in Skelleftea.

Can you imagine an elite-level coaching career in the future?

– There is nothing against me doing it later. But I wasn’t as keen on this thing of getting up and running every night as you were when you were playing. Now with the job as an expert it is good to attend training courses. It gives a second insight because I’ve had a lot of a player perspective based on my career.
