Växjö and HV71 have long been the hottest options, but in recent months his parent club Oskarshamn has become an increasingly hot option.
In line with the successes and SHL’s long-term contract, Oskarshamn is becoming increasingly attractive.
In the end it had to be between HV71 and Oskarshamn.
A message of strength from Oskarshahmann
And now Engsund has made up his mind: it will be a return to the parent club he left in 2016.
Oskarshamn went to great lengths to bring Engsund back and offered a six-year contract with a high salary, which Engsund accepted.
A prestigious signing and a true statement of strength from Oskarshamn, who sits seventh in the table. Only one point out of the top 6.
Engsund’s agent, Johan Altberg, did not want to comment on the information:
“He has an agreement with Lulea this season, I have no comment on what will happen until next season,” he wrote in a text message.
Incidentally, Oskar Engsund received a match penalty on his recent visit to Oskarhamn when he smoked with the home team’s William Worg Crowe.
