The Gothenburg derby is just around the corner.
Then Pontus Wernblum recalls a few old dusts with Jess’s supporters.

On Wernbloom’s podcast “Hunden, Katten, Glassen” he does with Matthias Bjarsmeyer and Tobias Heissen where former IFK players discuss Sunday’s derby against Gais.
The opposing team that Wernblom’s supporters don’t have much left, and vice versa.
“Every time there was a Gais match, something happened,” he says on the podcast.

It tells about an event from the mid-2000s.
– I went out one morning and then the whole side was sprayed pink paint all over the damn car, Jay said. But the stupid bastards sprayed the passenger side so I screwed it up. The former quarterback says I’ve never been there and driven in probably six months.
The car sank – in mackerel
The following year, mackerel attacked the car again. literally.
– There was mackerel all over the damned car. Then it just wasn’t fun anymore…it smelled so bad. I had to go clean it and it never went away. At the same time, this was just plain fun and love-friendly. I didn’t hate Jess, but I was more attached to the matches, he says.
The derby will be held at Bravida Arena, with the match starting at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. IFK Göteborg won their first showing in the Swedish Cup against Utsikten. Gais do not have a zero point after 0-1 against IFK Norrköping.
