The White Horse needs to bring in 2.5 million to finish the season

The Allsvenskan Vita Hästen hockey club is experiencing major financial problems.

The association’s limited company needs to raise 2.5 million SEK to complete this year’s season.

“We are in an urgent situation,” says board member Richard Lundqvist, according to the NT.

In January, Vita Hästen stated that the club needed to collect four million kronor to obtain an elite license and be able to continue playing in Hockeyallsvenskan after the season.

The extraordinary annual meeting held on Monday evening included, among other things, an update on the financial concerns of the Society.

Then it was established that SEK 2.5 million was needed so that he could have first-team operation until the end of the season, 30 April.

– We’re in an emergency. We had depleted equity of negative 4.6 million at the end of December,” says Richard Lundqvist, a board member of both the Vita Hästen association and the limited liability company.

Members support the council

In total, the Vita Hästen is 6.8 million behind this business year.

Richard Lundqvist explains that the big negative results are due to the global situation, that the expenses were too great and the income too small.

– Our work has also been very drugged with in-kind money for several years. Reality will catch up at some point, Lundqvist says.

During the annual meeting, the members voted to support the council’s plan to save the financial situation. Another alternative was the liquidation of Vita Hästen Ishockey AB.
