Manchester City beat Newcastle – Haaland in a brawl

Haaland and Burn in a fight

Manchester City beat Newcastle 2-0 and tied Arsenal at the top.

In a heated event, Erling Haaland and Dan Byrne ended up in each other’s hoods.

Alexander Isaacs got half an hour of playing time.

Newcastle held on well in the away game with Manchester City.

But it was the home team that pulled the straw the longest when they won 2-0 and thus caught up to Arsenal in the first battle.

30 minutes

Newcastle, who are fifth in the table, must now focus on trying to secure a place in the Champions League.

Phil Foden made it 1-0 at half time after a solo digit and 20 minutes after kick-off Bernardo Silva made it 1-0 after a superb display from Erling Haaland.

Newcastle replaced Alexander Isak after an hour chasing a goal and the Swede had a couple of chances in the half-network during his half hour on the pitch, but remained scoreless.

Norwegian rough

With a quarter of an hour left to play, Dan Burn pulled Jack Grealish into a potential counter-attack position and that was something Erling Haaland did not appreciate. The Norwegian went crazy and started whining about the visitors’ central defence. Both were warned.

In Fiplay, it was Kevin De Bruyne who baffled expert Bojan Djordic. The Belgian was cold in the game and was substituted after 65 minutes in favor of Bernardo Silva – who would later become top scorer.

– I don’t know if you’ve ever seen him perform like this. De Bruyne says everything went wrong.
