Joseph Boumediene will not step into the booth and try to save Brinas:
– No, not this time, says the eligible ex-champion.
At the same time, Brynäs club director Håkan Svedman expressed his support for the current coach:
– If I didn’t have confidence in Miko Maner, he wouldn’t be in the booth today.
Before the playoff game in 2021, Brinas brought Josef Boumedienne and Nils Ekman when Peter Anderson was ejected on his way home from the last game of the regular season.
Boumedienne and Ekman became champions in Gavle when they ensured that Brenas managed the continued existence of the SHL.
Now Brinas will qualify again, but there will be no new entry for Boumediene. He confirms this in a text message to Sportbladet. Boumeddiene now lives in the United States and is the Assistant General Manager of the Columbus Blue Jackets.
He also has the same role in Tre Kronor.
Boumediene participated in the recruitment of Miko Manner. Now Brynäs and Manner are in a difficult situation with a pending qualifying match against Malmö for the continued existence of the SHL.

When Sportbladet meets Brynä’s club manager before tonight’s meeting with Växjö, he comments on the club’s poor situation.

How do you see the training question?
We have faith in Miku, he’s in the booth today and the plan is for him to stay in the booth
Are you considering other options?
– I can say this: we’ve looked at all of us in the organisation, everything from myself, the sporting directors and coaches to the arrangements for matches. We have reviewed just about everything. Then that’s right, we also looked at the training mode, but not only that.
Could it be appropriate to reinforce him about Manner?
– We are meeting now, and hard work is underway to be as well equipped as possible, and we have not closed any doors for changes in general.
Not on the coach’s side either?
– Not anywhere yet. Once we get to Sunday, Monday, we should have a clear picture of how to get through this tough, but exciting, qualifying series.
