New blue and yellow NHL scorer
New York. Adrian Kempe became the top scorer in the blue and yellow of the National Hockey League.
He scored twice as the Los Angeles Kings notched their fifth straight win last night, reaching a total of 32 strikeouts and trailing only William Nylander in the Swedish Pitching League.
– The pucks are just getting started and that boosts self-confidence, says the 26-year-old Angers after the 5-2 win over Colorado.
Already last year, Adrian Kempe broke through as a sniper in Los Angeles and scored 35 goals – having previously scored sixteen at most.
The previous situation continues in the same manner this year. During last night’s away game against defending champions Colorado, he scored two more goals and already made it to 32 – with nearly a quarter of the regular season left to play.
With this record, he is also second in the Swedish Shooting League. Only William Nylander has scored more goals: 33.
“Pucks are in now, for me and our entire series, and that boosts confidence,” says Adrian when he meets the media at the center of the ball afterwards.
The Kings play well as a team too, to say the least. Last night’s victory was the fifth in a row and thus challenging Vegas for first place in the Pacific Rim standings.
– We are playing well at the moment, despite the fact that neither the strength of the game nor the game at a numerical disadvantage is one hundred percent. Shooter Quimby says: If we can just put the puzzle pieces together, we should have a nice ride ahead.
