Johan Alsen came as sporting director in the same vein as Mikko Manner’s appointment as coach. Barely two years later, their paths parted before the so-called crisis of fate for Brenas.

– We finished second and will play in the qualifiers, we want to add some kind of energy and we think this solution is the one that will help us the most.

How did Miko Manner make this decision?
– We’ll have to answer those questions a little later and you’ll have to ask him those questions when that day comes. These are people with families and I have the deepest respect for everyone’s situation. It’s sad news to give, ye men who gave everything for Brynäs, ye men we loved. So there were difficult days for us as well, but now we are looking ahead.
And what do you expect above all to be different now?
The world will not turn upside down tomorrow. Now it’s about getting men to focus on what they can influence, to come together and put an end to everything around them and become a real group that becomes strong together, says Johan Alsen.
Are there things in the gameplay that you want to tweak, or is it just about getting a new sound?
– Of course it will be both. In this case, you also need to listen. We will play for two weeks: what do those who will actually do it think, what will those who will be in charge of training think and from there figure out exactly how to do it. Of course there will be minor adjustments, but other than that it’s important to get the group together.
