The first goal came against Columbus on Wednesday night and at home against Seattle last night he scored again.
The youngster was awarded a penalty kick at the start of the third period and did not make any mistakes. After a slow, patient ride across the court, he suddenly pinch-hit behind Philipp Grubauer.
“I tried to find a loophole and this time it worked,” Lill-Fimpen says when he meets the media again afterward.
– I was relieved when I put in another tablet and yes, I exclaimed correctly. I wanted to get everyone on their feet (grinning).
Williams’ goal gave the Sharks a 1-0 lead, but as is the case so often this season, they lost the upper hand. Denmark’s Oliver Bjorkstrand equalized later in the period, after Adam Larsson’s preliminary work, and in overtime Vince Dunn decided.
– Everyone in our dressing room hates losing, so we have to be better in the next game, says the Swedish debutant.
