Scott Polley’s appetite led the way.

After that, Bjorkloven traveled through Västerås.

“We came out with really good moves, without any worries,” says Captain Frederick Anderson V.C. Moore.

Björklöven easily cleaned Västerås in the first Allsvenskan quarter-final. Just three minutes later, Scott Boley headed in the goal, after Kim Johansson’s finish.

– Gustavsson (Johan) sets that control perfectly. He doesn’t stand a chance, says C. Moore expert Harald Luckner.

– We won the disc nicely and fortunately I managed to steer him in. We’ve been working a lot on getting the disc puck back this week, so it’s paid off, says Polly V.C. Moore.

It was the start of the road to a comfortable victory, which seemed complete when Jakob Olofsson scored 3-0 from half a meter in a powerhouse with eight minutes remaining.

Bjorkloven’s Fredrik Weigel scored the fourth goal, but it was ruled out when the middle went to Västerås goalkeeper Johan Gustafsson.

“We have to calm down.”

The match ended 4–1, after Västerås’ Trevor Cech broke up Joona Voutilainen’s goal with 41 seconds left.

– We’re off to a good start. We come out with really good moves, without any jitters. Then we do what we have to do outside, so it’s exciting to see, says Björkloven VC team leader Fredrik Andersson more about the effort.

– We block a lot of shots and things like that, but we have to calm down a bit for the next match and be a little calmer, says coach Victor Strahle.
