Björklövens Veeti Vainio fick matchstraff efter at ha knockat Jimmie Jansson i första perioden.

It is now an advantage for Björklöven in the quarter-final series with a 2-1 away win over Västerås.
The win came after two quick goals by Jerry Fitzgerald late in the second half.
Lukas Zetterberg from the home team pulled the score back with just over two minutes left in the match, but the guests managed to hold back.
Early penalty kick
But the big talking point of the match occurred a quarter of a century after the first half. Björklöven’s Veeti Vainio came on very late against Jimmie Jansson and ran over the VIK captain with an ugly tackle that hit his head.

Jansson lay on the ice for a while before groggy leaving the rink.
Vainio received a penalty as a result of the move and Västerås was given a chance to play five minutes on the power play.
Criticize the referee
However, Björklöven’s coach Viktor Stråhle criticized the referee, as he believed that the judges only made the decision after the replays had rolled from the stand onto the jumbotron.
– I thought there was a rule that the judges couldn’t look at the Jumbotron. But it looks like it’s gone, Stråhle tells C More.
However, the hosts could not take advantage of the numerical advantage – and were severely beaten by expert C. Moore.
– It has not been approved by Västerås’ power game. You can only get one shot on goal in five minutes. It’s just too bad. Harald Luckner says you have to take advantage of situations like this in a playoff.
Björklöven now leads the series with a score of 2–1 in matches.
Quarter-Final 4 will take place on Thursday.
