Färjestad regained the series lead after a 3-1 in Karlstad.
Frölunda also risks suspension for another star defender after Christian Follin concedes a penalty.
The first two quarter-final matches between Färjestad and Frölunda were fun and filled with heated emotions.
The third meeting in Karlstad was no exception.
Fristad ended up at an early disadvantage, but turned around and won 3-1. They now lead the match series 2-1.
Two goals in one minute
The decisive move came midway through the second half when Linus Johansson and Michael Lindqvist each scored within a minute.
– We need to adjust almost everything. “I think we’re second in everything,” Frolland coach Roger Ronberg said at C. Moore before the third period.
Penalty match for Volyn
Once there, Frolland’s main defender, Christian Folen, was given a penalty after accidentally checking Henrik Björklund’s kneeling in front of his own goal twice again, the helmet coming off after the second kick.
– I don’t think it’s that difficult. I think the expulsion should be two minutes long, says Sea Moore expert Johan Tornberg.
Folin now risk comment. A difficult break for Frölunda’s side, already missing star defender Andreas Borgman, who was suspended for three matches for a knee tackle on Victor Ejdsell in the first meeting.
Frölunda managed the five-minute game, but with barely eight minutes left the goal came 3-1. FBK defender August Tornberg scored his first goal since 3 November.
