Isac Brännström Ready for the HV71 – Presented by the new club • SHL

Already at the beginning of October, Sportbladet can reveal that Isac Brännström will leave Luleå for HV71.

Now the 24-year-old striker is officially presented by the Jönköping club.

– a senior striker in the SHL who has shown outstanding performance in the league and in the national team jersey, says sports director Kent “Nobin” Norberg.

Isac Brännström returns to HV71 where his father, Niklas Brännström, played three seasons in the early 2000s.

He himself transferred from Nässjö to HV71 to attend hockey high school and played three seasons for the club’s A team.

Now he is back on a three-year contract for the 2015/2026 season.

– It feels great and a little tingly to come home. “I grew up with the HV71 and have been a big fan of HVs since I was young, so it’s great to get the chance to come back,” says Isac Brännström.

You want to take the HV71 to the top

The last four seasons he played with SHL rival Luleå.

– I hope to be able to contribute to both the offense and the defense that I have developed in recent years. At the same time, I feel like I still have steps to take in developing hockey and have a strong desire to constantly want to get better. The most important thing, says Isac Brännström, is to try to help HV71 get back on top.

The second new acquisition

HV71 had previously done this with striker Åke Stakkestad from HV71 and head coach Tomas Montén from Linköping.

It is also clear that Eric Martinson, Taylor Mattson, Andy Mealy, Tyler Wiesel, Chad Billins and Kali Malahti will leave the team.
