“WORDS VERY DIFFERENT FROM Brynäs”

Nick Olesen traveled all the way from Brynäs to Södertälje in Hockeyallsvenskan.

Now the 27-year-old Danish striker is ready for Oskarshamn in the SHL instead.

“It’s very different worlds from what we played at Brynäs and I think it would suit me well,” he says.

Nick Olsen leaves Brynäs after two seasons since the club went to Hockeyallsvenskan.

There was talk of a return to Södertälje, but now it is clear that he will stay in the SHL to move to Oskarshamn.

In the 2020/2021 season, he was loaned from Södertälje to Oskarshamn, when there were four points in four matches.

– I’ll try to keep the average score the same as last time, haha. The way Oscarshamn plays suits me. It’s very different worlds from what we played at Brynäs, says Nick Olesen.

At Brennas, he was the second-leading scorer with 13 goals, behind Greg Scott’s 14.

The contract with Oscarshamn is written for the next two seasons.

The goal and hope is to play in the national team now during the World Cup. Then you come to Oskarshamn when summer training starts, says Nick Olesen.

Third reinforcement

Seventh in the table, Oskarshamn was knocked out in the round of 16 with a score of 1-2 in the matches against Luleå.

Among the obvious new acquisitions are goalkeeper Emil Kruse from Västervik and defender Alexander Anderberg from Östersund.

The following players leave the team: Ante Sumela, Juso Ricola, Tim Jewell, Robin Norell, Cameron Brace and Miles Powell.
