Twin brother Henrik Lundqvist paid tribute to Joel Lundqvist after the finale

Gothenburg. Henrik Lundqvist paid tribute to his twin brother on social media.

On both Instagram and Twitter, he shared a farewell to Joel Lundqvist’s Frölunda.

“I’m proud of my brother,” he wrote.

It has been two years this summer since Henrik Lundqvist announced he had been forced to quit as goalkeeper due to heart problems.

During this season at the age of 41, Joel Lundqvist announced that this would be his last.

Joel Lundqvist has played 20 seasons in A Frölunda and the last 14 seasons as captain.

Henrik Lundqvist played 15 seasons for the New York Rangers, then had his heart stop after moving to the Washington Capitals.
