Mullen and “The Mask” continue
Brynä’s training problem solved.
It will be Niklas Gilstedt, 56, who will take over as head coach in Allsvenskan hockey.
In addition, Uwe Mollen and Anders “Maskin” Karlsson continue to work at the club as assistant coaches.
Brynäs will start again in Hockey Allsvenskan after demotion from the SHL. And so it will be with Niklas Galstead as head coach.
The last player was a 56-year-old from the Swiss city of Zug, where he worked as an assistant coach. He signed a two-year contract with Brynäs.

“Not having Brynäs in the higher league does not feel right, there is only one way to go and that is to go back to the beautiful hockey room, where Brynäs belongs. I have clearly taken these signals from the board of directors, Håkan (Svedman, club manager), the organisation, And the players and all the fans out there. I’m really looking forward to meeting the players and starting to work together,” Gillstedt says on the club’s website.
Gällstedt has a long past at Brynäs with seven seasons as a club player. He also coached the club’s J20 team.
Moline stops and “The Mask”
Ove Molin and Anders “Masken” Carlsson climbed into the booth before the qualifying series against Malmö when Mikko Manner was sent off. Mullen as head coach and “The Mask” as assistant.
The pair will remain at the club as assistant coaches.
