Jason Dickinson supports Josh Dickinson in the Olswinskan Hockey Final

Jason Dickinson is in Sweden to support his brother.

The NHL player was impressed by the atmosphere in Hovet at the Hockey Allsvenskan Final.

– I have never seen anything like this, – says Dickinson.

Jason Dickinson finished the NHL season with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Then there was no doubt about what he would do.

The 27-year-old is now in Sweden to see when his younger brother Josh Dickinson chases the SHL with Modo.

– I want to see him win and it’s a good opportunity to come and see him play. I rarely get a chance to do that,” Jason Dickinson tells Sportbladet on the second off break of Friday’s game.

I’m going to watch the finals

On site in Hovet, he watches Swedish hockey for the first time.

– We’ll go to Paris for a little while, but the main reason I came here is hockey, he says and laughs.

– But my wife wanted to do some other things too, but I came here for hockey. I will watch the games on Friday and Sunday and if there is a seventh game I will go up to Ö-vik.

What do you think of your brother so far?

– He played well. There are some little things that I will be on.

“crazy”

Dickinson was impressed by the atmosphere in Hovet.

– He’s crazy, crazy. I’ve never seen anything like it, it’s electric. He says I love all the rhymes that happen all the time.

Do you understand something

– No, but I love him. It’s North American songs, so I can get a sense of the beat. I don’t understand any words, but everyone has so much energy and it’s fun to be here.

You don’t want to talk about hockey

Jason Dickinson scored 30 points in 78 games for Chicago last season. But there won’t be much hockey talk with the little brother when they have dinner tomorrow.

– We’ll have dinner and hang out a bit, and if he wants to talk about hockey, I’m here, but …, he says and continues:

We try not to be on top of each other too much. We are very similar players in many ways and different in many other areas. We try to give each other a little bit of advice, but I don’t want to do that too much. I haven’t played here, so I can’t say much about what it’s like to play on the bigger ice. It wouldn’t be right for me to tell him what to do here.
