When the SM Cup was to be lifted, Skellefteå’s band The Wannadies was heard on the speakers.
“Nothing to comment on,” says Jonathan Bodas.

When Skellefteå AIK plays at home, “My Hometown” by local band The Wanndies is usually heard over the speakers when a goal is scored.
Växjö used this song as a small (?) taunt to the final opponents when team captain Erik Josefsson rode the trophy with a group of teammates before hoisting it.
– Nothing to comment on, said Skelleftea defender Jonathan Bodas.
– They can play whatever they want, says captain Oscar Müller.
Växjö explained
Skeleftia coach Robert Olson:
– I didn’t think of that. I think they use that song themselves. I don’t think they did it to harass us or mess with us.
– They might have thought it was an occasion today, but I don’t think they do it to fight.
Karolina Torresson, Växjö’s director of public relations and communications, says the song was not a mockery of Skellefteå.
– It’s a Robert Rosen song too, hence the song choice, she says.
