Ticket rush before Djurgården – Modo in court

There is a hysteria about tickets ahead of tonight’s game in Hovet.

Tickets sold out in minutes.

– When we issued the tickets, we had a line of 3,300 people. I think we could have sold Globe as well, says Thomas Kraft, CEO of Djurgården.

It will once again be the classic crowd figure of 8,094 for tonight’s fateful match between Djurgården and Modu.

There is a lot at stake in the game and if Modo wins, they will play in the SHL next season.

If Djurgården wins, match seven will be in Örnsköldsvik on Sunday, the eve of the Walpurgis Fair.

Broadcasting the match at Modo Stadium

The pressure on tickets for matches in Örnsköldsvik and Hovet in the final series was intense, and tickets for the last six matches sold out within a few minutes.

– When we issued the tickets, we had a line of 3,300 people. I think we could have sold Globe as well, says Thomas Kraft, CEO of Djurgården.

The interest in the match is so great that Modo chose to broadcast the match on the media cube in Hägglund Arena this evening to create an atmosphere and event for Modo fans who did not get a ticket to Hovet.

Modovans.
Modovans.

“always turn around”

But expect plenty of Modo fans in Hovet, too. Djurgården gave full oaths to Modu and the club’s supporters. This means that 170 standing spaces and about 240 seats are designed for away fans.

– So it’s always possible to get around the ticket system no matter what we do. We have made it a priority for our members to purchase tickets and various tokens. But there are always workarounds for finding tickets if you’re getting creative. Codes can be posted on different forums, and if we need membership to buy tickets, there are always some who apply for membership. We’ve had some new members from Övik recently, but I’m convinced they’re loyal fanciers, Kraft concludes.
