Glenn Gustafsson has returned to Örebro on a long-term contract

Glenn Gustafsson is presented as a key player in Orebro’s long-term investment.

The 24-year-old powerful striker will return to the club on a four-year contract.

– Örebro as a city and a club means a lot to me, he says.

After two seasons in Växjö, Glenn Gustafsson returns to Örebro as the new Swedish champion.

In Örebro, he reunited with, among other things, his close friend Matthias Bromi.

With contracts up to 2027 and 2028 respectively, it’s clear that the Stockholm forward are two players Örebro will build his squad around.

– Obviously, it’s good to be back. Very good things are happening at the club now, and of course I want to be involved and contribute to our victory,” says Glenn Gustafson.

He moved to Örebro from Stockholm when he was 16 years old and played in the A team for six seasons before moving to Växjö.

The new sixth acquisition

Nicknamed ‘Glensky’, he was very popular with supporters with his self-sacrificing style.

– For us, that means an incredible amount to get Glenn back. He grew up here in Orebro and in recent seasons he has had a good development. “Glenn is a loyal team player and has now experienced what winning means and that is something that will be important for our group,” says Sporting Director Niklas Ericsson.

Örebro previously completed new acquisitions Hannes Bjorninen, Ludwig Larsson, Samuel Johansson, Robin Norell and Axel Sundberg.
