The Chicago Blackhawks won the draft lottery and now get super talent Conor Bedard.
Now the feedback is pouring in.

Conor Bedard, 17, is the biggest talent since Sidney Crosby and Conor McDavid, and is expected to turn a struggling team into a big one in a short period of time.
Last night, by all accounts, his future title was decided in the clubhouse as the Chicago Blackhawks won the draft lottery despite only having an 11.5 percent chance according to the odds (vs. Columbus Blue Jackets 13.5 and Anaheim Ducks 18.5).
The draw sent the Chicago Blackhawks organization and fans into ecstasy, but in many other quarters, it sparked outrage.
Silent scandal
The background is that many people now see the Blackhawks as a dirty organization since it emerged this year that several leaders and high-ranking people hid a scandal — that one of the team’s players, Kyle Beach, was sexually assaulted by the former video coach. Brad Aldrich.
When the scandal finally surfaced, it was revealed that then-head coach Joel Conville and general manager Stan Bowman were aware of the allegations.
Then Conville was fired and Bowman resigned.
What did the NHL do? They fined the Blackhawks $2 million.

However, many believe that it was pure “refueling” when you deliberately make your team worse/loser in order to get better draft picks.
Now it ended up getting Conor Bedard himself.

A few years ago, the Arizona Coyotes lost their first pick after calling a player for physicals — something they, according to NHL rules, are not allowed to do until after the draft.
Prior to that, the New Jersey Devils lost a first-round pick to signing a contract with Ilja Kovaltjuk that was incorrect according to the NHL.
Chicago, on the other hand, didn’t get rid of its first pick even though it kept the sex scandal silent for ten years. They were fined two million dollars.
When the draft lottery was decided last night and it was clear that the Chicago Blackhawks would have a chance to pick Conor Bedard, they sold $2.5 million worth of season tickets—in an hour and a half.
