– Formally, in the agreement between the SHL, Hockeyallsvenskan and SIF, we agree that after the next season, that is, from the spring of 2024, we will evaluate the system in which we are now.

Ekstrom says he and SHL CEO Jenny Silverstrand met with Hockeyallsvenskan President Niklas Froberg and CEO Gabriel Monidelle.

Ekstrom tells the site that the current qualification system should first be evaluated. But there are many questions about extended SHL.
– What is being evaluated is the qualification system. nothing else. But obviously you start talking about it, and then this also comes up: Should there be 14 clubs? Shouldn’t it be twelve? Or 18? Or 16? Or 20?
