There are plenty of expensive stars to choose from – but it’s important to at least find cheap nuggets.

There aren’t huge price differences between goalkeepers, but there is one name that stands out: Färjestads Carl Lindbom. The 20-year-old was the best goaltender on Allsvenskan Hockey last year, and should be able to stand up to the sweat and game-winning efforts even at the SHL level. For 4 million, he is not thinking about the deal team.

When looking for deals, it’s easy to fall into the trap of young talent who have the opportunity to take the next step. It can be seen on the back side. Skellefteå’s offensively skilled full-back Axel Sandin Bjelica He is one of the SHL’s most talented players and should be able to produce some points while playing on a tough team to crack. Taking the step towards SHL – will it be successful?
The front side was clearly the most difficult to fill, as there were several potential candidates who had to step aside. The last place here was instead taken by Malmö Lukas Wernblum. At hockey level in Allsvenskan, he maintained a high level, but last season was very difficult for the 23-year-old, who, however, stepped up significantly in the goalless qualifier against Brynas. Bystedt still scored 20 points in 45 games last year and should have a big role in Linköping. It’s not a bold guess to assume that the 19-year-old could be a major exclamation point this fall and winter. Rislig Oscarsson has really shined in the playoffs for Örebro this spring and it will be exciting to see what he can do. He’s not supposed to be a scoring machine, but considering his £2m price tag, he’s a player worth having in your team.
