Jönköping. The HV71 made a nightmare trip to Norrland last week.
At home in Småland, they won 4-1 in the derby against Vaxjo.
– We stepped up and controlled the game, says striker Fredrik Forsberg to TV4.
In Norland’s three matches in five days, HV71 earned zero points.
Against Modo, Luleå and Skellefteå, the goal difference ended at 4-14.
Revenge of the captain
In an interview with TV4, star Andre Pettersson strongly criticized the fact that they cannot get along with each other and that there is no structure to the game.
It was Andre Pettersson who scored the opening goal neatly over Emil Larme’s right shoulder, a stunning goal for the HV71 captain.
– It was just to shoot. “I didn’t see anything, but I know where the target is,” says Andre Peterson.
The team’s first back goal
Fredrik Forsberg stepped up for HV71 when he fired the ball wide between the legs of the Växjö goalkeeper.
-I shot as fast as I could. Frederic Forsberg says aiming high and shooting low usually works.
New signing Bobby Nardella scored his first goal for HV71, curling in the rebound, and it was the team’s first backhand goal of the season.
It was also Andre Pettersson who decided the final score with an empty net.
Joachim Blichfeld pushed to reduce the power play after a great play by Noah Östlund.
A much-needed victory for a shaky HV71 team at the bottom of the SHL table.
