An unstoppable goalkeeper.

Djurgården then suffered their third straight loss in Allsvenskan hockey.

Ian Bloomquist saved all 43 shots as Västerås won 2-0.

Things are still looking bad for Djurgården in Allsvenskan hockey. After a promising start, Västerås’ 2-0 win ensured that the Stockholm club suffered three successive defeats – and sit at the bottom of the table.

– There are some white knuckles now and we’re not really going deep, that’s the way it is, says coach Johan Garbenlöf on TV4 Play.

In Hovet, they also got off to a nightmarish start.

Direct target

Emil Krupic sent a shot from the blue line past a Djurgaard defender and completely stopped goalkeeper Hugo Havilid – and the 1-0 score was already a reality 76 seconds later.

And it’s only going to get worse for Djurgården.

After nine minutes of play, Konstantin Komarek made his way over the blue line. The Västerås star striker advanced a few meters and smashed a powerful shot into the roof of the net to make it 2-0.

A real cold shower for Djurgården, which he made a valiant attempt to reduce. The home team pressed with a large number of attackers and the shot statistics showed their superiority.

Office call

But among Västerå’s entries was Ian Blomquist and he couldn’t be beat. The 20-year-old Vasteras goalkeeper made a total of 43 saves and kept a clean sheet.

Djurgården had a ball on target with eight minutes remaining, but Vasteras full-back Eric Flood was deemed to have been pushed into his own goalkeeper and waved away.
