Gutenberg. Frölunda paid tribute to 15-year-old Henrik in connection with Saturday’s sold-out SHL match.

Before landing in front of HV71, there was a moment of silence and there was a place of remembrance inside the arena.

– Frölunda is sad, it is a terrible and tragic event, Henrik was there for all the team’s home games and ice hockey was important to him, says team president Mats Grauers in a speech on the ice.

Mats Grauer called on the audience to stand up to honor Henrik.

The HV71 heel was at his place holding a sign that read, “Rest in peace.”

Even the first leg on the other short side also had a banner reading “Rest in Peace Henrik”.

Many of the 12,044 spectators stopped at the memorial inside the arena, and are supporters of both Frölunda and HV71.

15-year-old Henrique was found dead in Alingsas on Sunday after being missing for a week.

“Henke” played on the U15 team in Frölunda and ice hockey meant a lot to him.

“An incredibly tragic message that has hit the association hard. The announcement on Sunday evening has rocked the association greatly,” Frolunda wrote on his website on Monday.

The grief was shared far from home

Frölunda announced that since the disappearance they have remained informed of the development of events and have been in constant contact with those close to them.

“In this difficult moment of grief and loss, Frolunda has focused on supporting Henrik’s family, the leaders and his teammates along with the families,” the club wrote.
