When Nibro loses, it’s a big loss.

Hockey newcomer Allsvenskan were eliminated for the third time when they lost the series final to Björklöven by a score of 5–0.

Now the Western Bottoms are leading the table.

Nybro’s return to Allsvenskan hockey was largely successful. Before the match against Bjorklofen, Småland’s team had six wins and was top of the standings.

But the two losses the team suffered were significant in the form of 0-6 against AIK and 0-5 against Södertälje.

There is now a third zero in the goals column, meaning Småland’s side have been left scoreless from all three defeats this season.

– We just have to put that aside and focus on the next opponent, Nibro coach Tommy Samuelsson tells TV4 Play.

Bad start

It started off poorly right away for Nybro, who had to see Bjorkloven’s Joel Mustonen score 1-0 after four minutes and five minutes later ‘Leuven’ extended the lead through Scott Boley.

Joel Mustonen.

It wouldn’t be much better for Nibiru.

Nick Shilkie added in the second half and in the third half Liam Dower Nelson made it 4-0 with his league-leading eighth goal of the season.

“What they deserve to see”

Bjorkloven won 5-0.

-We play 50 minutes of very good hockey. The way we should look at Bjorklofen and what everyone who sympathizes with Bjorklofen deserves to see every night, says Bjorklofen coach Viktor Strahle.

The win meant that Bjorklofen overtook Nybro and rose to first place in the Allsvenskan hockey table.
