Djurgården faced another collapse when they lost to Kalmar.

In the second half, they conceded four goals in a row.

– It’s very unfortunate, says Albin Grewe at TV4 Play.

Things are going tough for Djurgården at the moment.

They collapsed this week in their heavyweight clash against Brinas after conceding five straight goals in the third period. They then lost the match 4-7.

On Saturday evening, it happened again, this time in Kalmar.

“Too bad”

When Albin Grewe made it 2-1 to Djurgården early in the second half, it looked bright for the visitors.

But then they clapped together.

What followed was four straight goals for Kalmar. Teemu Olavi Lebos, Sean Podias, Martin Schreiber and Andrew Vanderbeek scored before the period ended.

After the loss, Djurgården’s 2-1 goal was not at all satisfying.

-We are determined and we overcome everything we have to do. “It’s too bad,” Grewe says on TV4 Play.

Gloomy Pavilion

Eleven seconds into the third period, Djurgården cut the deficit to 3-5 through Viktor Nilsson and sparked hope of a turnaround. But it didn’t come close.

Kalmar won 6-3 after a late goal into an empty net.

Djurgården have now lost five of their last six matches.

-We wander around, we don’t do the job well, and we don’t compete enough. We don’t win enough close games or loose pucks,” says Djurgården coach Johan Garbenlöf.

He describes the situation as frustrating.

-It’s very frustrating for all of us. Both the players, the captains and everyone who cheers for Djurgården. I’ll say it again, this is not good. We can do much better and we must step up a notch.
