Mikael “Bingo-Micke” Holmberg sold bingo tickets and was very popular in Björklöven and in Umeå.

Posthumously, he was honored before the home match against Östersund.

– Thank you, Mickey, for everything you have done, says Bjorklofen Chairman Mikael Salomonsson.

Mikael Holmberg, or “Bingo Mickey” as he was also known, died recently at the age of 67.

This profile has worked for Björklöven for 37 years and has long been involved in the sale of lottery tickets – which is said to have provided millions of kroner for the association’s youth and women’s activities.

Before the return match against Östersund, “Bingo-Micke” was honored with a tifo and a minute’s silence.

He gave a speech

Bjorklofen Chairman Mikael Salomonsson stepped down onto the ice and made a speech.

– A fiery green-yellow spirit, who has given so much of herself to us in Bjorklofen and to our city over 37 years, with never-ending energy, he says in the TV4 Play broadcast.

-Thank you, Mikey, for everything you do.

“Maybe too much money”

Salomonson previously said they tried to find out how much money the profile had brought in over the years.

– We tried to look into it. But we had to give up. It’s probably a large sum of money, but it’s impossible to calculate. Imagine if there were more profiles that worked like his – how good the social life would be then, Salomonson told VK.
