Sidney Crosby remembers Adam Johnson: ‘Great man’

Adam Johnson fulfilled his NHL dream with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

He remembers the team’s great star, Sidney Crosby, as a kind person.

“Great guy and teammate with a great attitude,” Crosby says.

Adam Johnson has arrived where all hockey players want to be: the National Hockey League. In total, there have been 13 NHL games for the Pittsburgh Penguins and in October 2019 he scored his first and only league goal.

Johnson did just that against Minnesota, his home state.

-I really remember his first goal. That he did that in his state was remarkable. And the way he skated… some guys can fly on the ice and he was one of them. I remember when I saw him skate for the first time and it was really special,” Crosby says in an interview in Pittsburgh X-conto.

“Something we all think about.”

Crosby goes on to say that Johnson’s death affected the team.

-It’s something we all think about. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones. He was a great guy and a great teammate and had a great attitude when he was here.

Pittsburgh coach Mike Sullivan:

– It’s an incredible tragedy. He was a good boy. It was an honor to be his coach and I remember his first game and his first goal against Minnesota. A great man and player. “And you, he can really skate,” Sullivan says.
