Match penalty for Jasek after suffering a concussion

Lukas Jasek is allowed to leave the match.

Växjö pulled away in front of Oskarshamn after a brain fall from Lukáš Jašek.

The Czech player received a penalty in the match for hitting after colliding with Kale Kosela.

– It is an assault, says expert Joel Lundqvist on TV4.

Växjö Lakers led Småland derby 3-1 when Lukáš Jašek lost his composure with just over half the game remaining.

Jašek hit Växjö’s kingpin Kalle Kossila across the chest with his club and then proceeded to pursue Kossila and hit him in the back.

“It’s not nice”

The referees elected to award Jašek a penalty kick in the match – a penalty that stood even after video review.

– It’s not nice. It’s assault to rape someone through their arms like that. There is a high risk of injury and a clear penalty in the match, says TV4 expert Joel Lundqvist.

Växjö scored two goals

After the game’s penalty kill, the Lakers took the opportunity to extend their lead on the power play.

Joachim Blichfeld and Joel Persson each scored and Vaccio walked away 5-1.

– It’s good to be able to play some PP, says TV4’s Blichfeld during the second period break.

“A lot of unnecessary things”

Oscarshamn captain Oscar Ingsund was frustrated with his team’s lack of discipline. But he did not want to talk too much about the total of six sending offs in two periods.

– Skip it, I don’t want to end up in bad weather. But this is not necessary from us. We make unnecessary cuts and throw a man to the ground – interference. There are a lot of unnecessary things we do that are obvious, he says on TV4.
